Rum Runners Ask for Leave

(Sackville) - With the new 2010-11 ESHL season fast approaching the Richibucto Rum Runners have asked for a leave of absence for one year. Team owner stating that without a home rink to play out of would be hard to get there fans to follow them for the entire season. The league will meet in the next few weeks to discuss there request and a decision will be made to have a draft for the rights to there players for the remaining teams in the ESHL.

2009 - 2010 ESHL / LHSE 1st & 2nd All Star Teams

The Eastern Senior A Hockey League announced the 2009 - 2010 1st & 2nd ESHL / LHSE All Star Teams. The following players were named on the 1st All Star Team: goaltender Michel Breau Memramcook - defensemen Ryan Card Shediac and Justin Vienneau Memramcook - forwards Justin Johnson Richibucto, Scott Sack Richibucto and Alexandre Vigneault Bouctouche. The 2nd All Star Team named were: goaltender Luc LeBlanc Bouctouche - defensemen Ray Gillis Richibucto and Daniel MacLeod Bouctouche - forwards Michael LeBlanc Bouctouche, Evan Levi Richibucto and Jamie McCabe Memramcook. Maritime Sports Excellence sponsored the All Star Team.

The nominees and MVP for each team of the Eastern Senior A Hockey League were announced last night at the ESHL Annual Gala and are as follows: Bouctouche Maritime Doors & Windows nominees Michael LeBlanc, Daniel MacLeod and Alexandre Vigneault / MVP Daniel MacLeod; Memramcook Air Repairs nominees Michel Breau, Jamie McCabe and Justin Vienneau / MVP Michel Breau; Richibucto Rum Runners nominees Justin Johnson, Jason Rinzler and Scott Sack / MVP Justin Johnson; Sackville Bud Lite Combines nominees Malcolm Estabrooks, Nicolas Laplante and Marshall MacDonald / MVP Malcolm Estabrooks; Shediac Capitals nominess Ryan Card, Albert Cormier and René Léger / MVP Ryan Card.
